… The Owl. In a ceremony Captain Joe Coleflesh unboxed the spirit guide that had selected the crew of the USS Pulsar. Inside was a statue of an owl wearing a steampunk jetpack. The crew decided to name the spirit guide “Minerva”.
In the Star Trek: Voyager episode “The Cloud“, Commander Chakotay introduces Captain Janeway to her Animal Guide. This guide offers spiritual guidance for the person. A spirit guide is unique, but does not represent the individual. It also cannot be chosen as the animal guide has to choose them.
In the Seventh Fleet, we have adopted the tradition of having animal spirit guides for our chapters. While individual members of the crew can decide what The Owl means to them, the Seventh Fleet had the following traits listed for this spirit guide. “Wisdom, Truth & Patience”. The spirit guide for each chapter is listed in the Chapter sections of the Seventh Fleet website.
