Normally we like to talk about upbeat things here in this monthly blog-newsletter. However we also have to acknowledge when thing happen around us. Especially when we try to follow our motto of “We Do Not Stand Alone”. The month of June had quite a few deaths in our Star Trek family and we wanted to support our friends and family.

On the USS Ticonderoga, we lost Brad Powell who had passed away while camping. A sad story on the USS White Buffalo where a teenager of the Raven GreyFrogget is no longer with us. There is a GoFundMe page set up for any donations to help with the funeral costs. Steve Wall on the USS Rendezvous had also passed away in the month of June. And finally Johnathan “Gumby” Simmons from the USS Stormbringer had passed away at the end of June. Gumby wasn’t a member of the Seventh Fleet, but always welcomed us when we visited our Star Trek cousins at StarFest in Denver. To all of those affected by these passing, We Grieve With Thee. May their memories always be a blessing.

Don’t forget that Season Four of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will premier on Paramount+ on Thursday, July 23rd. The latest trailer has been released here.

The 2026 Fleet Day is coming up quick on Saturday, July 18. The USS Ticonderoga will be hosting this event as part of their 30th Anniversary celebration. This will be held at the Weber County Southwest Branch in Roy, Utah. There will be both indoor and outdoor events. This is a family friendly event that is open to all members and interested parties. This is only one of two events that the Fleet plans for the year.

We are looking for a host for the 2027 Admiral’s Banquet next January. We are also looking for new locations to hold the banquet at. If you happen to visit a community center, banquet hall or other gathering location that you think could hold 100 people, please find the details and pass them onto your Commanding Officer.

If you voted in any of the primary elections last month, make sure you add it to your duty reports to your chapters as it’s worth Leadership Promotional Merit Points.
