Thank you to everyone who attended our January 24th Admiral’s Banquet. And a special thank you to the crew of the USS Rendezvous for scrambling to find a new location after the initial site fell through. We will have some photos posted soon in the new 2026 Online Photo Album. We are now looking for hosts for the 2027 Admiral’s Banquet tentatively scheduled for January 30th. We are especially looking for possible hosting locations in different locations that are not too expensive. If you come across one that can hold at least 100 people and has kitchen facilities, please let your Commanding Officer know.

The 2026 Seventh Fleet calendars were passed out at the banquet. If you ordered one and haven’t picked it up yet, please contact your Commanding Officer.

Fleet Day will be held on Saturday, July 18 in the Layton/Ogden area and will be hosted by the USS Ticonderoga. This is an open event for all families and friends to attend. More details soon.

We’ve already got several conventions coming up soon. SaltCON-Spring will be held on March 12-15 at the Davis Convention Center in Layton. This gaming convention is also where the Artemis Bridge Simulator will be run by the USS White Buffalo and Starship Frontiers. If you would like to volunteer, please get a hold of Captain Aaron Stevens. Then on Saturday, April 4 is Ogden-Con that will be held at the Ogden Union Station next to the Frontrunner stop. The USS Ticonderoga will have a booth there with a Star Trek photo op. We are also looking for a chapter that would like to coordinate volunteers for FanX: The Salt Lake Comic Convention held at the Salt Palace on September 24-26.

Several episodes of the new Star Trek: Starfleet Academy have been released and they have been amazing. While we don’t discuss spoilers on our Facebook Page or our BlueSky Account, we have a spoiler channel on our Discord Server. Thank you to everyone who attended or helped out at the 2025 Admiral’s Banquet. It is truly a testament to the coordination and leadership skills used to put this event together so that when an unexpected item happens (say the two coordinators and their mother coming down sick) the event pulls off without a hitch. If you were unable to attend, you were missed. We had a lot of fun talking about the past year, honoring those who had passed on and looking forward to our future. The Fleet Day will be coming up this summer and we hope to see you all there for the various games that will be played.

Also the Seventh Fleet calendar was passed out to all Commanding Officers at the banquet. If you ordered a calendar, contact your CO to pick it up. We are now collecting photos for the 2026 calendar. They can be sent to Photos@SeventhFleet.org.

Have you had a chance to watch Star Trek: Section 31 yet? Remember that spoilers can be discussed in our Spoilers-Channel on the Seventh Fleet Discord server. Now if we could just get a date for the season three premier of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, that would be great.

SaltCON is a large gaming convention that is held at the Davis Convention Center every spring and the USS White Buffalo runs the Artemis Bridge Simulator there. This re-creates a Star Trek bridge with various battle simulations that a Captain and Crew can try out. This includes the infamous Kobayashi Maru scenario. Dare you take this challenge?

It is with a sad heart that we have to report that Commander (Retired) Dalice Nilson passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. She was the first executive officer of the USS Rendezvous and was a huge force in the development and launching of the Rendezvous in the early 90’s. She always had a smile on her face and she was always happy to see you. She will be missed. The Seventh Fleet would like to extend our condolences to her family.

The 2024 Admiral’s Banquet is this Saturday, February 4th at the Weber County Library Southwest Branch in Roy. We will be starting at 2:00pm. Be there in uniform or nice dress, otherwise you just might find yourself in the brig. (grin) This is the big opportunity to see the extended Star Trek family in one location. The Roy library is just up the street from the Roy Frontrunner stop.

At the Admiral’s Banquet a special award will be handed out to those that have reached Bingo or Blackout in the Seventh Fleet 25th Anniversary Bingo event. What will it be? Come to the banquet to find out.

The Seventh Fleet calendars are done and will be given to the Commanding Officers at the banquet. They will distribute them from there. Thank you to to everyone who submitted photos for the calendar. And a special thank you to Meagan Johnson for putting together the layout for the calendar and Ross Trowbridge for putting together the cover.

So the 2023 Admiral’s Banquet was a great success. If you missed it, you missed some good food and some good times with friends. We had a chance to watch a special video from Friend of the Fleet, Larry “Dr. Trek” Nemecek congratulating the members for making it to 25 years as a Star Trek club. Many thanks to the members of the USS Valkyrie for putting together the wonderful pasta bar that we all enjoyed. Captain Ann Knowlton ran another successful silent auction and we want to thank the City of Richmond for use of their wonderful facility. The USS Kelly is hosting the 2024 Admiral’s Banquet which is tentatively planned for Saturday, January 27th. They are already working on the plans for this event.

And speaking of the Seventh Fleet 25th Anniversary, we are celebrating all year long. At the banquet we had a presentation giving us the different challenges that we are all participating in for 25th Anniversary Bingo. This was inspired by the Enterprise Bingo seen on the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode “Spock Amok“. To find out the details, head over to our special page located at Bingo.SeventhFleet.org. There you can see the explanations of the different challenges and how you can get credit for doing them. Don’t forget, if you post them to social media, use the hashtags of #7thFleet25 and #WeDoNotStandAlone.

The crew of the USS Kelly are making plans to attend the Las Vegas Star Trek convention coming up on August 3-6. Details are still being worked out, but they would like to extend an invitation to go with them.

The release date for season three of Star Trek: Picard is Thursday, February 16th. The latest trailers have come out and several Seventh Fleet members are really interested in watching the final season.

Yea, we didn’t do a Hailing Frequencies Open in January. The month had been so busy plus recovering from the holidays that we took it off. Not to worry, the special dates that would have been posted then will be celebrated now.

The Admiral’s Banquet had to be postponed for obvious reasons. Thanks to the efforts of the USS Rendezvous we have a new date for the banquet. It will be on Saturday, March 26th at 2:00pm. This will still be at the Richmond City facility that we’ve used in the past with the theater.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has a premier date. We will all be able to enjoy it on Paramount+ on Thursday. May 5th. We are very excited for this new Captain Pike series to come out. We’ve been really enjoying Star Trek: Prodigy and Star Trek: Discovery.

Hailing Frequencies Open is posted on the 1st of the month at SeventhFleet.org. If you have an entry that you would like to be included in a future HFO, please contact your Commanding Officer. The CO needs to have it submitted to the Admiralty by the 2nd to last day of the month for inclusion.
